Wiltshire Asphalt were appointed to deliver the external groundworks and surfacing package for this industrial development at The Island, Dorcan.

Working from the initial excavation through to the finished surface, our team provided a complete solution to create a robust external area suitable for HGV access and regular heavy vehicle movements.

Scope of Works

Our works included the full excavation of the existing ground, followed by the installation and preparation of the required capping layer and sub-base stone.

Once the formation was prepared and brought to the required levels, we completed the installation of a three-course HGV asphalt build-up, providing a strong and durable finished surface designed to withstand the demands of an industrial environment.

The Result

The completed area provides a high-quality, hard-wearing asphalt surface surrounding the new industrial unit, creating a suitable environment for HGV movements, deliveries and day-to-day site operations.

By delivering the excavation, stonework and surfacing as one package, Wiltshire Asphalt were able to manage the works from ground preparation through to the finished tarmac surface, ensuring continuity throughout the project.
